Ingredients

For the Potatoes:

  • 3 large potatoes (cut into fingers)
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Sresth ORA Groundnut Oil for deep frying

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp Sresth ORA Groundnut Oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2-3 dried red chillies (broken)
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1½ tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • ½ tsp roasted sesame seeds (optional)
  • Spring onions or coriander for garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into long, thin strips (French fries). Soak them in cold water for 15-20 minutes to drain excess starch. Drain and dry with a kitchen towel.

Step 2: Fry and Coat

Mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and water in a bowl to make a light batter. Heat Sresth ORA Groundnut Oil in a deep frying pan. When hot, fry the coated potatoes in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
